Nottingham Beer Festival: A Celebration of Independent Breweries

Check out this great video from last year showcasing the amazing vibe at the Nottingham beer festival, where craft beer tasting from various independent breweries was truly a highlight.

About The Castle Beer Festival

Indie Brewers of Nottingham

The collaboration between the Independent Breweries of Nottingham, Nottingham City Council, and Nottingham Castle is set to create an amazing atmosphere for beer lovers at the Nottingham beer festival. With over 10 independent brewery bars showcasing craft beer tasting opportunities featuring both craft and cask beers, attendees will have plenty of local brews to sample. Sneinton Cider Company will also be showcasing their wares alongside a selection of other local ciders. With street food and live music added to the mix, it promises to be a lively and vibrant celebration of Nottingham's beer scene.

This type of festival offers the perfect chance for people to explore the best of the city's independent breweries, savor delicious food, and discover new bands or artists in a more intimate setting.

The Location

Hosting the festival in Nottingham City Centre and supporting Nottingham Castle adds a real sense of local pride and heritage to the event. The Castle itself is such a great landmark, and having it as a backdrop for the festival will create a truly unique atmosphere. Plus, with the city centre being easily accessible via great transport links, it'll be convenient for people to come from all over to enjoy the event, including those keen on craft beer tasting from independent breweries.

April should be a perfect time too - spring in full swing, so attendees can enjoy the outdoor vibe as festival season gets well and truly underway. The Nottingham beer festival will be a great opportunity to showcase the city’s vibrant culture to both locals and visitors alike, encouraging them to explore more of what Nottingham has to offer, whether it's historic sites, local shops, or the lively pub and indie beer scene.

The Music

Live local bands and musicians performing from the iconic bandstand will really set the tone for the Nottingham beer festival and give it that extra special touch. The combination of great local music, craft beer tasting from independent breweries, and the historic backdrop of Nottingham Castle will create a vibrant and memorable atmosphere. April evenings in the city centre can be quite magical, especially with a bit of live entertainment to keep things lively and upbeat.

The line-up is still to be announced, so watch this space! We are looking forward to celebrating some home-grown talent on the Castle's iconic bandstand.

The Food

Get ready to indulge in some of the best food you've ever tasted at the Nottingham beer festival. Our food vendors will be offering a variety of delicious options that will satisfy any craving, perfectly complementing the craft beer tasting experience. We will be announcing food vendors as soon as we can, but our priority is to source some of the best food Nottingham has to offer while catering to everybody, including selections from independent breweries.
